I and my husband really feel happy .if you want to give some unforgettable special gift choose this chair. it is looking like marble chair with beautiful pink colour , it is not for regular use but for occasions it is really really beautiful GIFT.

5 out of 5 stars good buy   January 20, 2008
having received the throne found the putting together quite straight forward, the chair is quite robust and we liked the way the jewellery could be kept safe clicked into allocated places around the back of the chair. the child it was for loved it and has hours of fun with it. the only disappointment was the small doll that fits into the arm of the chair is very flimsey and as reported by other customers falls in half when put into the sitting postion. on the whole a very gd buy for 29.99 but wouldnt pay 59.99.

2 out of 5 stars Okay, but not worth nowhere near RRP   January 4, 2008

Bought this on Amazon for 17 pounds, and its not worth a penny more than that. The RRP is an absolute rip-off. The box was glued shut so tight it almost never made it out. The chair is very plasticky and only just sturdy enough for a child to sit in. It is a pain to put together and the pieces only just forcefully pushed into place. The sound is dissappointing as it makes only one sound when the child sits down. The lid to the armchair compartment keeps coming off the and the mirror on the other armchair side wont stay in place. The accessories are no better qulaity than a toy jewellery set from the pound shop. It also came with a little doll which was a good surprise for the child.

4 out of 5 stars great value, for mum great fun for any budding princess   January 2, 2008

I bought two of these for my niece and daughter, both loved it and spend a lot of time in their chairs and being little drama queens, lol
They were great value at under 20 but the jewellery is a bit awkward and plasticy , other than that it is pretty sturdy and comfy for them and the storage seat is handy as they have started shoving all those bits that usually loiter on the floor in it
Although i do admit i don't thinks it is worth the full 60

3 out of 5 stars Where's the back of it?   January 1, 2008

Amazon had this on sale for about twenty dollars (40 pounds) last week, so I purchased this for my own little four year old princess. She had wanted it and she definitely needed (sure) a throne, so for that price, with free shipping, it was really a good deal.

I put the throne together easily and it is and was a big hit with her. Everything works as it supposed to.

So, why not four or five stars? Well, really, this retails for about $80, and it definitely isn't worth this because the back of the chair comes unfinished. So, unless you have an actual Throne Room, where your little monarch can greet her subjects, you will occasionally-- most likely-- have the back of the chair showing. And, it is unattractive. There are about eight to ten screw heads sticking out of it, the long part of the necklace, and it's left completely unadorned. I imagine it would have cost Mattel an additional fifty cents to create a snap-on plastic plate to cover all this. And, they didn't do it.

The chair is only attractive from the front. My daughter wanted to put this upstairs and use it with her Disney Princess Vanity (that came with a little plastic stool) and now the pretty part of the chair only shows in the mirror of the vanity. It's just really ugly from the back. I am trying to decide how to cover that part, but since the screws actually stick OUT of the chair about a quarter inch (safely-- surrounded by plastic), I can't just put on some pretty decals. I'm going to have to actually do something a bit more time-consuming.

Other gripe: The chair's removable jewelry is not so well-made. The chairs gems are really removable bracelets, rings, earrings, necklace, and crown. They are very very cheaply made-- no better than the kids' toy store jewelry you might buy occasionally. They are not so easy to pull out of the chair and they are not so easy to snap back in. She can do it some of the time, but often needs assistance. Also, the earrings are molded kind of weirdly with two little pieces of protruding plastic that hurt anyone's ears when put on. The good part about this is that they can stay on, but they really hurt. The rings are too big (like most pretend jewelry) but the bracelets are perfectly sized.

The skirt would have been improved for both the chair and the girl had it been a bit elasticized.

From the front, this is a great little throne. With batteries, it plays a short ceremonial melody every time someone sits upon it. My daughter loves this. And, it has two little secret compartments-- under the seat (which uses a little button or key to open it) and on the arm rest (a teeny princess doll is included, but watch out! The legs break off of this immediately and you have to keep snapping them on!) The other armrest has a built in mirror.

So, my daughter really likes her throne and I like that she likes it. I am very much less unimpressed with the big huge shortcut Mattel took when making it, though.
