5 out of 5 stars Excellent book!   July 8, 2006

I just love this book! I was pretty new to juicing, smoothies and fresh herb teas before I bought this book. But now - I love it and this book definitely made it easy for me to learn. Reading about the medical use of different herbs, vegetables and fruit was very interesting for me. And the recipies - yes, some of the ingrediences can be difficult to find, but not impossible. And if you can not find them, just stick to the once you can find close to you. There are plenty of recipies to choose from in this book and they are easy to make. No problem with the measuring scale - there is both US and European scale and it's easy to work with. It's a shame this book doesn't have more advertising, so people would notice it - this book IS definitely worth the money!!!

2 out of 5 stars Detailed and OK in the USA   January 23, 2005

Great book, full of ideas and useful background information. Loads of what look like great receipes but the downside its in US measures eg cup of this half a cup of that and some of the terms can be a little confusing.

In the right hands an asset, but for the ordinary day to day juicer addict I'd say look for something with UK origins.

This book is very through & well-researched. It covers all aspects of juicing, from machines, to juices for a specific illness. It lists all ingredients & combinations, including herbs & nuts.
