5 out of 5 stars Very informative & easy to follow   November 10, 2008

This is an excellent book; very well written for either the layman or the more scientific-minded folk. It is key to explaining thyroid disorders and most importantly as other reviews have mentioned, it covers that key 'adrenal' connection.

Having recently been given results for 'low thyroid' I will be arming myself with the information in this book while I try and determine the diagnosis and treatment.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent, a 'must read' for patients and doctors   August 3, 2008

This book is well written, and helpful to patients suffering from this debilitating condition. It lets you see why you are so ill when your doctor pretends you are well treated or there is nothing wrong according to your blood tests. Even when on treatment your adrenals can become sluggish causing symptoms akin to CFS and FM.
This book should be required reading for all GPs who really care about getting their patients well, as they profess to know nothing about the problems outlined here. sufferers know and have a testimony that these treatments work.
It empowers patients to further research and find treatment for their symptoms and shows how to tell what is causing what and how it should be put right.
No person with the symptoms of CFS, Fibromyalgia, Hypothyroidism, or Hashimotos autoimmune thyroid disease should be without this book.

5 out of 5 stars A life saver - literally   June 11, 2008

This book probably does save lives. It's very easy to read - just as though Dr Peatfield is talking to you - and it gives you all the information you need about thyroid and related problems. It's quite brilliant.

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant   November 27, 2007

When I read this book, I feel overwhelmed as I feel understood.

Dr Peatfield understands how I feel and he writes about all of these problems in such detail, but you can understand it.

Anyone who has a thyroid or adrenal problem MUST buy this book.

What a marvellous man!!!
